Fundraising
We are always thrilled to hear of your exploits on behalf of Lost Chord. Around the country, individual supporters, businesses and care home staff and residents, together with their families, are making a difference.
Residential homes sometimes hold summer fairs or similar to raise additional funds to cover the costs of their concerts, our musicians have attracted sponsors for marathons and in 2008, David Blunkett MP agreed to be “jailed if not bailed” by attracting Lost Chord donations!
If you have any wacky, daring or money spinning endeavour in mind, then let us encourage you to please go for it. Dementia sufferers everywhere will be glad you did!
For those of you who run a business- if you are looking for a terrific cause to support which may well be dear to many of your staff’s hearts, then look no further. We will be the delighted recipients of any team challenges or fun days you might arrange during the year!
“Welsh National Opera Soprano Joanne Thomas was joined by her husband Rob Bourton, Head of Music and Chris Bourton to perform in a concert a Barry Comprehensive raising over a thousand pounds for Lost Chord Wales. Joanne works regularly for Lost Chord in Yorkshire and we are so grateful.”
